Members will doubt remember that on 2nd May last they approved the undertaking of the Aberdeen Water Scheme at an estimated cost of $2,702,000 and the expenditure of a sum of $550.000 during the current year. The work is in pro- gress and I have now to ask the Council to approve the appro- priation of a further sum of $1,000,000 to continue the work next year. The scheme au-
